There is no need to make reservations for tables in the garden and bar area, so you’re welcome to just come along and find a table. Food and drinks served every day, and you can order at the bar or via our web ordering app.
If you prefer something quicker or more informal our main bar, like the restaurant has a great atmosphere with wooden beams and log fires in the winter. Our beautiful new orangery links the award-winning garden with the bar, which adds an alternative area for customers to enjoy a drink or snack.
Extensive bar snacks ranging from sandwiches to hot dishes and home-made “pub-grub” including great burgers made with 100% prime British beef.
Terrific range of drinks, including real ales, a wide selection of lagers and at least ten wines available by the glass. We also offer a wide range of gins, many sourced locally, that we change regularly, so there’s always a new one to discover.
We have a superb selection of cocktails, that we change to match the season. We also have a selection of non-alcoholic cocktails.
The beautiful Orangery has large bi-folding windows which open on to our pretty garden. This attractive, light and airy room is a popular alternative space and links the pub to the garden.
We are so very proud to have consistently received multi awards for our pretty courtyard garden, which is so lovingly cared for by Philippe our General Manager. A little sun trap during the day, beautifully illuminated at night, and heated for those cooler days.
Just perfect for al fresco drinking and eating!
Please come in and enjoy a drink and some food in our award-winning garden!
(Our General Manager, Philippe, who is personally responsible for how great our garden looks!)
Nice pub. Nice pub, good menu and they were still offering 50% off food when I visited recently. You can’t order drinks other than on their check in app which isn’t for everyone but it worked perfectly fine for me. Enjoyable visit with a good atmosphere and a place I would certainly visit again.

Great character, great food, great service. What a great place! I visited twice during my stay in Tunbridge Wells – once for just a beer, enjoyed in the beer garden, and once for dinner. It’s just beside the railway station, so an easy walk from anywhere in town. The downstairs bar is full of character and the beer garden is beautifully laid out with lots of plants and well spaced tables. There is a good selection of drinks, including local beer and gin, and good social distancing measures etc are in place. For dinner, in the cosy upstairs restaurant, I chose the three courses for £23 menu, which turned out to be great value – there was a good choice for each course, and my selections were all delicious. Again, good social distancing measures were in place, with the waiters wearing visors. Thanks to Milo for looking after me so well. If I’d been in town for longer, I’d definitely have been back.
