Another fabulous festive feast….!This is the third year we’ve had our charity’s Christmas lunch here and it’s always excellent – the staff are super efficient, the food is very tasty – especially the perfectly cooked vegetables – and the tables are always very Christmassy. Definitely recommend!

Good food and great service.We were staying in Tunbridge Wells and meeting friends who live locally. The Barn offer an early Bird menu which was great value. We had a selection of dishes and everything was tasty, well presented and hot. The service was very good but we felt we were given plenty of time to chat and catch up. There is also an A La Carte menu available. We had a very enjoyable meal.

Great food. Bargain price (for the quality you recieve) and brilliant serviceCame here a few weeks ago with two good friends (who use the barn alot), I have dietary requirements and can only eat tiny portions so when I go out for a meal I like to enjoy what I eat, I went for the smoked salmon starter, the lamb main and myself and my friend chose to order both the mini desert platter and cheeseboard and share between the two of us, everything I had was absolutely amazing and we will be going back next time we are in tunbridge.
We are also looking forward to enjoying the food again in January for my friends wedding so I am very excited.
Thank you to the lovely lady who served us that night (I am so sorry I couldn’t remember your name) but she was very helpful and went above and beyond to make our evening great.

Best Mixed Grill we have ever had!Our first visit to The Barn and we had a lovely lunch, probably the best Mixed Grill we have ever had. Beautiful building with many different spaces to sit in , the staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was good quality and well cooked and presented. What an excellent placeCannot say enough about this excellent place. The restaurant has a spacious feel and traditional beams for atmosphere. The food was extremely good, with extra care taken for our one coeliac guest. The ‘mocktail’ downstairs in the bar was excellent too for one of our teetotal guests. The coffees after our meal were fantastic – and great value too. The service was perfect. The table for six was ideal too, v-big enough to give us space and compact enough for us to be able to converse across it. 5* and a very strong recommendation without any hesitation.

Really great eveningEchoing other lovely reviews below, last night I went expecting a reasonable meal with the half-price deal, but was delighted at the quality of the food and the wonderful service. My steak was cooked exactly as I requested and was simply delicious; the best I’ve had for years. The Harveys was great too…
The atmosphere was lovely and we stayed until rather late, without being at all hurried out.
The current offer is fantastic value, but I’ll certainly be back and happy to pay full price for such a good meal.

No doubt at all that we’ll be back!!We booked the restaurant as they were offering a 50% discount on food this month. I hadn’t eaten here for years and thought a ‘passable’ meal for half price would be a result.
To our surprise (and delight), not only was the food absolutely lovely but the service was exemplary! Our waitress, Cody, was at one point the only one serving in a busy restaurant, and yet not one table was attended to late and she was friendly, welcoming and incredibly helpful to everyone. We asked to speak to the manager (Milo), who must have thought “here comes a moan” but we just wanted to tell him what a wonderful experience it had been.
Sadly we didn’t get the name of the chef, but whoever it is, they are a credit to that establishment.
We liked it so much, we’ll even go back and pay full price next time!!

Amazing service, food and atmosphereWe got married at the Barn one year ago and had the most special day. The team are amazing and I cannot recommend getting married here highly enough. A year on, last week we returned for our first wedding anniversary. We were placed at a table near the fire and Philippe came out and congratulated us. We enjoyed a delicious meal and had a wonderful evening remembering our day. The icing on cake was that at the end of the meal, they said that the meal was on them as it was our 1st anniversary. Amazing food, amazing experienceVisited for the 30th anniversary celebrations this evening, all I can say is amazing, food quality was outstanding and truly cannot believe the price, prices that mimic when they first opened in 1992! For me and my friends we all ate 3 courses for under £13.
Service by Milo, holly and ola was amazing nothing seemed to much, was attentive but also not overwhelming.
It was great to share in the occasion with the barn and we hope they will be a successful for another 30 years!

Fun 1992 menu, well cooked mixed grills and steaks, breaded plaice, breaded scampi, breaded mushrooms – can’t go wrong. Back to 1992!We already love The Barn with their cheese and biscuit evenings, cocktails and garden, but were excited to receive an e-mail about their 30th anniversary celebrations. They have done their 1992 menu at 1992 prices. Wasn’t the food better back then! Nothing over-fussy and who can resist Black Forest Gateau for dessert? The Barn do the best chips anywhere I know and there’s also a really good bar menu if you just fancy a burger. Although the retro 90s menu is just for this week, we will definitely be returning. Fantastic place to eat and so reasonableWe decided to book here as we wanted a meal before the show we were going to see at The Assembly Hall. I used to live in the area in my childhood and remember it as being the Elizabethan Barn where discos were held. We ate upstairs in the restaurant and had the fixed menu for £24.95 for 3 courses. Such good value and a good portion size. Our steaks were cooked to perfection. The Barn sauce to go with the steak was so tasty. We also had cocktails which were lovely and great value. The decor was nice and the service was superb – very friendly and attentive. It was the best meal we have had in ages. Would definitely recommend this place and will visit again when we are next in the area.

Excellent Lunch in the Upstairs Restaurant!We use The Barn regularly for lunch with friends, but usually downstairs. This time we ate in the upstairs restaurant as they had a 50% discount offer on food. I can honestly say it was faultless, lovely food well cooked and presented, together with excellent service! Even though the drinks weren’t included in the offer, the wine wasn’t overpriced and the Sancerre was excellent.
Even if we’d paid full price, we would still have left feeling very good about our experience. Well done The Barn !!

Excellent food AND fantastic service!I organised a school reunion for 16 female friends on a Saturday night in April 2022. Andrew, the Assistant Manager, was extremely helpful. He answered all my questions and helped us to place our orders in advance of the evening. He also reserved us all seats in their orangery for pre-dinner drinks. 25th birthday meal for my partnerWe visited the barn on 23/02/2022 for a 25th birthday meal for my partner. We had the three course meal and extra starters to try. I have never been let down by this restaurant and can only say excellent things. The pricing is amazing and the food is even better. NEVER DISAPPOINTEDWe celebrated another event, yesterday, for a Valentine’s Day meal at The Barn. Several previous visits have celebrated birthdays and other special events with our family.
We’ve never been disappointed.
Philippe, the Manager, is always so welcoming and has a great demeanour and always happy to engage with guests.
We had the themed Valentine’s day 4 course menu for £26.50 each – Well worth it and both the main course Steak and Lamb were excellent.
I was fortunate too, to meet the chef. Sadly, I didn’t ask her name. She was delightful and I was very pleased to tell her first-hand how happy we’ve been with our meals, on all of our visits.The atmosphere is great and the building itself is beautiful with tasteful decor.

Great value for moneyMy wife and I visited on Saturday lunchtime at the end of January. Delicious!With a warm welcome and efficient, friendly service of the two hardworking waiting staff, we could not fault our first visit to Royal Tunbridge Wells and this lovely Restaurant with its warm and cosy atmosphere.
The menu was varied and inviting, from which we opted for Deep Fried Halloumi
with a Chilli Sauce to start, and main courses of Barn Style Chicken
Breast (with a white wine, bacon and sun dried tomato sauce), for my husband and although neither vegetarian or vegan, I chose Roasted Butternut Squash, filled with a stir fry of onions, mushrooms, peppers & cherry tomatoes, served with boiled rice … and OMG, both dishes were absolutely delicious! So tasty. So different. Birthday partyWe held my wifes birthday party at the Barn on Saturday August 14. Philippe made the planning for the event so easy and everything ran very smoothly on the night. All 40+ guests commented on how good the food was , how helpful the staff were and what a great setting it was. Dad remembrance reception ( Funeral Wake)Thank you to Philippe and the team for making my dad’s Funeral Wake a lovely afternoon, based in the orangery & garden. The venue has a very peaceful tranquil atmosphere, the staff were very attentive buffet was excellent and great value. Philippe was very helpful suggesting ideas to make an emotional occasion more an afternoon to remember dad.

Accommodating and good food

Wedding anniversary

Lovely Restaurant!
We have our wedding booked at The Barn this year, so decided to try out the restaurant food. We read all the reviews before booking our wedding, the main comments were how amazing the food was, amongst a long list of positive comments about The Barn. The reviews are right, it was delicious and the portion sizes just right. Phillipe and his team are so friendly and attentive. Lovely food, lovely atmosphere and good value for money. We cant wait to celebrate our wedding here! Highly recommend!

Excellent breakfast. The Barn is a great independent pub and restaurant. They just started doing breakfasts and I had one today. Steak and eggs with rosties. The food was of the highest quality (as I have always come to expect from them) and though they have just started them, this is an excellent place to come for brunch (as well as for a drink or lunch/dinner).

Scrumptious Brunch! The Barn started a breakfast service this week 9 – 12 so we thought we would try it. My hubbie had the full English and chose not to have the fried bread and had normal toast. He loved it. I had the halloumi breakfast although I’m not a vegetarian it was delicious, I had the fried bread. The breakfast is of the usual Barn fab quality and I really do recommend you try it. I am a loyalty card holder so we had free tea and coffee refills too.

Delicious lunch. Had a really delicious three course lunch with family at The Barn. We’ve been once before and sat outside, about 2 years ago. Wanted to celebrate a special occasion and now in these new times we felt safe and had an absolutely gorgeous meal inside with family (4 adults). Between us we had calamari, Camembert, burger, lamb rump-so tender!-Steak burger and barn chicken. Desserts-Eton Mess, sticky toffee pudding….all incredibly tasty and the service was excellent. Pre Theatre Dinner. Really enjoyed our dinner at The Barn last night. Went at 5pm pre theatre so quiet when we arrived at the restaurant upstairs but gradually more diners arrived. Fantastic meal. I’ve eaten in the pub a couple of times, but yesterday was my first visit to The Grill restaurant. Thoroughly impressed! We were quite lucky to be in there at a time when most tables were finishing up, so everything was very speedy for us. Starters came out within 5 minutes of ordering, mains weren’t out long after our starter plates were cleared. The staff all wore masks and were friendly & polite. The food was delicious! Calamari was soft and cooked to perfection – none of this rubbery, chewy tat you sometimes get elsewhere and a lovely light batter. The charcuterie plate was also very tasty, really good quality meats. Duck for main was delicious, well cooked to our requirements (one medium, one medium/well), the potatoes were perfectly crispy outside and fluffy in the middle. As for dessert, my mum was very happy to discover she could have something as they have vegan ice cream (she’s lactose intolerant). Both desserts were lovely. Good coffee! Just a shame there was no dairy-free alternative to milk (unsure if this was because they don’t do it, or they had simply run out), but mum still enjoyed a black coffee made just how she liked it. As it was quiet, we spent another hour or so there after finishing our meal, later ordering more coffee. We were never felt pressured to leave or made to feel unwelcome for staying so long after paying. All around a lovely experience and we will definitely be going back again some time!

Great character, great food, great service. What a great place! I visited twice during my stay in Tunbridge Wells – once for just a beer, enjoyed in the beer garden, and once for dinner. It’s just beside the railway station, so an easy walk from anywhere in town. The downstairs bar is full of character and the beer garden is beautifully laid out with lots of plants and well spaced tables. There is a good selection of drinks, including local beer and gin, and good social distancing measures etc are in place. For dinner, in the cosy upstairs restaurant, I chose the three courses for £23 menu, which turned out to be great value – there was a good choice for each course, and my selections were all delicious. Again, good social distancing measures were in place, with the waiters wearing visors. Thanks to Milo for looking after me so well. If I’d been in town for longer, I’d definitely have been back.

A cosy venue with fantastic food and excellent service. Me and my finance are getting married at The Barn next year. Today we visited to try some lunch at the venue. We both ordered burgers and both were absolutely delicious with big portions and freshly- made high-quality produce. The service was very good and staff were friendly. We had a long chat with Phillipe (Manager) about our wedding and we planned our menu and our special day. Phillipe was very helpful and down to earth. He is genuinely passionate about providing the highest level of service in this beautiful venue and used his wealth of experience to give us advice. Delicious Sunday Roast. We enjoyed a wonderful roast this afternoon at The Barn. Great value at £16.95 for 3 courses but the service was great! Philippe and Milo were very attentive. With the current state of affairs it is also good to see the social distancing, PPE, one way systems etc they have implemented with the ongoing pandemic (although mandatory you can see the additional effort that has been made) – I certainly felt safe here. Friendly staff, lovely terrace and delicious food. I ate with my daughter and niece on Tuesday 4 August. It was a great experience. From the moment we walked in we felt welcome, and were greeted with smiles all round. We ordered our food and drinks at the bar but you could use their website or a QR code from your table. We had halloumi salad, whitebait and chips and the chicken and bacon Caesar salad. All delicious, good portions, and delivered with a smile. I thought the food was fairly and reasonably priced even without the Eat Out To Help Out discount which gave us a big reduction in our bill. We stumbled upon this place by accident having been turned away from Cote Brasserie. I’m so glad we were!

Wished we’d found this a LONG time ago!Went here for lunch to try it out for a further visit with friends closer to Christmas. No doubt at all that we will definitely be booking it! Turned themselves inside out to accommodate me (disabled and found their stairs to the first floor restaurant difficult). Seated us in the downstairs snuggerie, which meant that the waiter had to keep on running up and down with our meals, always with a smile and no indication of what a nuisance we must have been! A lovely atmosphere in what must be a really old building, and the menu, although fairly standard pub grub, does have some imaginative dishes available as well. We shared a starter of bruschetta, nicely presented with some little mozzarella balls and plenty of a light basil sauce and cherry tomatoes. My husband was absolutely delighted to discover “moules mariniere” – his absolute favourite, and I chose a beef hache, hoping it would be in the French style and not just a regular flattened-out burger. It was really lovely and accompanied by a rich and delicious sauce. The chips appeared to be twice-cooked and were very crisp, and most importantly, not too many to be overpowering, as does happen in a lot of restaurants. Red wine was rich and full of berries, and the white was light, full of pear and peach flavours. So over all, a very nice meal, and yes, we will be going again!

First date, wedding and one year anniversary celebration. My husband and I have been to The Barn a number of times as we love the close community atmosphere. 7 years ago we went for our first date, a year ago we attended for our wedding celebration, and yesterday we had a wonderful meal in the restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. They have good deal of three courses (you choose from a la carte menu) for around £22 which was good value. Nice environment and good service. Was lunchtime on Saturday and not too busy. Absolutely stunning food and service!! I was in Tunbridge wells on a work visit and as this place was the closest restaurant to my hotel I thought I would check it out. I cannot fault this place one bit and would most definitely visit again if I’m in Tunbridge Wells!!! I was served by a waiter called Milo and he was very smiley, efficient and friendly, the food was absolutely stunning and cooked to perfection. Especially as I had the duck and like it pink so find it hard to find a restaurant that I feel ‘doesn’t over-cook it’. But the chef really did the dish justice. And for the quality of the food I was astounded at the price as I had a 3 course meal all cooked beautifully for only £22.95 Would definitely recommend to anyone as they also seem to have a lovely pub downstairs that serves even more options for food and a lovely beer garden.

Excellent food, large portions, great service, good value. We had been twice before but not for a while as it had been either fully booked or closed for a wedding. We regret not trying harder as this meal was excellent. My wife had prawns in garlic but I had the Italian charcuterie, which I wisely chose not to finish. There was enough for four! The chateaubriand for two was excellent. It melted in the mouth and came with sugar snaps and peas in addition to bearnaise sauce. A very decent portion. We then had the trio of desserts, which again proved a challenge to finish. I then took my cold meat home and it will do me two lunches! We are lucky in TW to have so many great restaurants, but The Barn is one of our favourites and we have already booked to go back.

Christmas Day. We were a family group of seven who came to the Barn for our first Christmas lunch out. I have to confess I’m a creature of habit at Christmas and like to be home but was most definitely not disappointed and may even be a convert to eating out on Christmas Day. Very Glad We Gave The Barn A Second Chance. We went for lunch last Friday and it was faultless! The Whitstable Blonde beer was still excellent!! The steak tender and perfectly cooked, chicken mixed grill plentiful and the trio of desserts pretty much finished us before we could finish them!! Service was outstanding, the waitress was incredibly busy but ensured our meal was unhurried, she had a good understanding of the menu and her recommendation of the house sauce for the steak was spot on!! I have to say after about roughly 5 times me and my friend have been here since we discovered it online the pub grub here has been absolutely amazing! I always go for your homemade 6oz steak burger because it is simply the tastiest steak burger I’ve ever had! Even better still when topped with your delicious melted brie cheese and crispy bacon. Was simply divine and at a very good price for its quality! Not to mention the chunky chips being very crispy and cooked just right too. We will definitely be returning in the future. I highly recommend this to any burger lover. You simply have to try one!

Birthday lunch. We came here for my birthday lunch after a stroll around the country park and was pleasantly surprised! We wanted somewhere with an outdoor garden so we could take our dog and it was very pretty with nice pergolas and lots of open and secluded seating. Good food. There are 2 choices when you walk in. There is a pub with pub food – burgers, scampi, calamari, chilli con carne etc. And upstairs, there is a restaurant with more choices. Excellent value in fab surroundings. This restaurant is a little gem. It’s so well tucked away close to a busy area that you feel as if you’re in the country. The staff were attentive, pleasant and accommodating without being intrusive. The menu was varied but not overwhelming so it catered for all tastes. The general atmosphere was very comfortable. Great black & blue cheeseburgers! Great Harvey’s! Easy going, relaxed (if sometimes busy) atmosphere. Helpful staff and, generally, also very good food and drink. Harveys beers are served well and in fact, I don’t think I’ve been served a bad pint there during the Barn’s 25 year existence. The black & blue cheeseburgers are the best I’ve had in over 30 years! Birthday Celebrations. We visited the Barn on a Saturday Night for dinners and drinks to celebrate several February birthdays! On arrival the setting was lovely, appealing venue with a lovely atmosphere in the bar. Our table was booked, so we were directed upstairs to the restaurant. Appealing food menu, however we found the selection of cocktails somewhat limited (for our personal choice) – but the ones available were lovely! The food was surprisingly speedy and our waiter Matt was very pleasant and attentive. Overall a very good experience, and would like to say thank you again to Matt for taking the extra time and effort to add personal touches to our dining experience (asking the chef to make a different sauce and helping with drinks suggestions!).

Very enjoyable meal. We noticed this place whilst out shopping one day and said we will give it a go. Called in one Saturday lunchtime we hadn’t booked but they kindly fitted us in. We chose to eat from the fixed price menu with there being 4 or 5 choices per course, all of our meals delivered to our table were very well presented and also piping hot something of a rarity these days. The Barn’s reputation is still highly deserved. I was very kindly treated to lunch at The Barn today – December 6th 2017. It is far too long since I last visited this quality hostelry. Having lived in Tunbridge Wells for a good few years, The Barn is one of those places often heard mentioned in dispatches as having maintained its standards and provided quality fayre for such a long time. What a gem of a restaurant! I did a search on my phone ‘restaurants near me’ while on a visit to Tunbridge Wells at the weekend. Walking distance from our hotel, although parking is available opposite. The Barn Restaurant is an absolute gem. There is a downstairs bar and conservatory and what looked to be a fairly extensive outside area too. We opted for the pre theatre/early dining menu and chose a starter and a main course for £10.75. The people on the next table chose their meals from the a la carte menu (possibly three courses for £21.95) so we were interested to see if the same starter from both menu’s had any difference in portion size – pleased to say that they were the same regardless of menu selected from. Fresh bread was served almost immediately. Huge doorsteps – delicious, albeit we didn’t finish it all ensuring we left space for our main course. For my starter I opted for calamari, which was the best I’ve ever tasted, thick juicy rings covered in panko breadcrumbs and served with a chilli dip. We followed that with minute steak with a house sauce house sauce of white wine, diced bacon, sundried tomato, cream and a touch of garlic, grilled tomato, pan fried mushrooms and a huge portion of chips. For me the sauce wasn’t right for the steak, but was great to dip the chips in and didn’t make the meal any less enjoyable. We also had a bottle of Australian red wine which brought our total bill up to around £40. Before we left we had a chat with Phillipe about the superb calamari – sadly not available in the high street supermarkets! He told us some history of the building as well as about his company’s other restaurant in Bath (we had asked if The Barn was a one off or a chain). The service here was excellent and the staff most attentive without being intrusive. Very much liked that when we asked for water we got a large jug of iced water without delay. We will certainly eat at The Barn again the next time we visit Tunbridge Wells and would definitely recommend it to our friends. If you’re in the area go give a try.

Excellent on all aspects. I have been in here to both eat and for a Saturday night out. Every time I’ve been in here to eat I have never been able to fault the food nor has anyone I’ve been in here with. It’s great portions for delicious food and you don’t have to pay out a fortune for it. The style of the building is beautiful as well with a very nice conservatory and garden to sit in as well! I have also spent a Christmas here as well upstairs in the restaurant and it was the most organised place we have been on Christmas Day. The staff were friendly and we were never waiting around for anything to come or to be served. On a general basis, like going there drinking on a Saturday night you also won’t be disappointed as the staff are friendly and use their time well behind the bar so you aren’t stood in a queue for ages which on that side of town you don’t see very often. I would highly recommend for eating and a place to go out for the weekend.

We met friends and had a drink sitting in the very comfortable conservatory, then had dinner in the upstairs restaurant. Excellent meal. Everything was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. I recommend the fish platter; it’s a great combination of breaded whitebait, prawns in a chilli lime dressing and mussels – absolutely delicious. Look out for their deal for 3 courses, good value. This is a really nice place with a good varied and contemporary menu. Staff were very friendly and very good at their jobs. We won’t leave it so long before we return!

First wedding anniversary meal. We’ve just got back from our complimentary first wedding anniversary meal at The Barn. We don’t live locally to Tunbridge Wells and haven’t been back there since we got married. Just like on our wedding day the sun came out for us. Walking back in there brought back so many wonderful memories of our perfect day. Being personally greeted by the staff and of course the lovely Philippe made it extra special oh and the glass of Champagne went down well. We ordered our food from a huge menu, where we were seated was perfect as it gave us a chance to take stock of the whole restaurant and fully appreciate how lovely a restaurant it really is. We reminisced throughout our meal and had the pleasure of Philippe coming over and chatting to us for quite a while, this man deserves a medal! He is truly dedicated to his job, its more than a job for him and this shows. Philippe, we will get in touch with Channel 4 about the ‘First Dates’ spin off, we are thinking ‘Barn Dates’?!? You’d make the best host… just need to fit it in to your already busy schedule, definitely on to a winner with this idea though 😉 Seriously though, great food, lovely atmosphere, a fantastic team of staff, with brilliant service and we wished we lived nearer but have promised ourselves that we won’t leave it another year before returning. Pre-Theatre Menu for Birthday Celebration. Thank you all so much for a brilliant start to our evening at The Theatre. There were 11 of us & we were all impressed with the comfort & beauty of your Restaurant, the menu, amazing value at £9.75 for 2 courses including baskets of fresh bread & butter & jugs of iced water. The food was absolutely delicious & we all sent our compliments to the Chef he is excellent. We were given a warm welcome the Staff were attentive friendly good fun & nothing was too much trouble for them & they got us out in time for the start of the Show no easy task with 11 people. We all left on a high thanks to u & your lovely Staff you are a great Team & we will definitely be back.

I have been to the Barn countless times over the last 4 months, including for Christmas, birthdays and work celebrations with friends and family. Every meal has been amazing and your chateaubriand again did not disappoint. One of the best meals I’ve ever had, and to top it off as it was pancake day and your chef had a small amount of batter left over from pancakes he made for your staff he kindly made us two pancakes which were delicious! Each time we visit The Barn the chef makes me a fantastic chocolate milkshake for dessert-which isn’t on the menu but they go out of their way to make it as I love them! Additionally your team at The Barn are incredible, Graham has been the waiter for our last few meals and is brilliant, all the staff are great however. Thank you so much The Barn and looking forward to another meal very soon! Xx

Awesome food great price. We went for dinner for my wife’s birthday and I can say that I was very impressed. My Wife had a three course meal for £12 and it was a big soup starter, a large main meal and great dessert. I had a massive burger that was amazing. The staff was so friendly and helpful and made it an amazing night. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Best Restaurant in Tunbridge Wells. My Daughter booked this restaurant for 7 of us and we all had the set a la carte menu 3 courses for £18-25 starter I had Garlic mushrooms with Stilton, followed up with Dover Sole and new potatoes and just had room for the apple and pecan pie with ice cream. The staff were excellent, we were not hurried, food came hot and drinks reasonably priced, as someone who enjoys eating out at least once a week this restaurant ticked all the boxes. Well done keep it up.

Amazing in every aspect!!! I had an amazing experience both at the bar and the restaurant. The food was really well done and the portions even for the starters were quite big. The service was amazing. Very welcoming and kind staff. Highly recommend this place!!! If I ever come back to Tunbridge Wells that will be the place to go first!

Still our favourite. We have been to The Barn several times as it’s the only place my partner and I both really like, I’m a bit of a foodie and have never been disappointed regardless of what I order, my chap is a hungry builder who wants a decent sized plate of good food! In addition the service is always excellent, I would definitely recommend it and even suggest joining their loyalty scheme.

Great little treasure tucked in the centre of TW. We had a work xmas dinner here, and it was a great night. Really pretty restaurant upstairs, would never had known it was there. Nice pub with outdoor space too. The food was pretty good, looked nice, was hot and tasty. Service was good and friendly. Would definitely recommend and go again! Thanks!

Fantastic food as always. I’ve had several meals at The Barn and have never been disappointed. The food is excellent, and the staff always very friendly. We have never had to wait a long time for our meal to be served. I would always recommend The Barn to anyone wanting a good meal.

Great pre-concert dinner !Ideal if you are going to the Assembly Rooms just up the hill. Pre 7.30 dinner – £10 for two courses – portions were not huge but food was tasty, service was good and it didn’t leave a hole in the wallet. I will be back…..

Lovely in the summer. Been here twice. Once with family visiting in the summer and they were so impressed. Beer garden is gorgeous. They also do a really good discount when you apply for a card – which is free of charge. Cocktail bar opened in the garden and it was just fantastic. Food is good, never had a bad meal! Lovely for friends. Family. Couples.

Nice food. We enjoyed our meal here today. I had the chicken Caesar salad followed by ice cream . My partner had the moules said he had never had such a large delicious portion .He then had the toffee and pecan crumble. Also very good indeed . Our friends all agreed that the food was very good. Service was friendly and swift. Certainly would visit again when in the area.

A Hidden Treasure as per a Buzzlines Customer” I went on your mystery tour today and I want you to know how much I enjoyed the experience. Despite the rain I didn’t hear a single complaint from anyof the other passengers. Dave, the driver, was excellent and as far as I am concerned The Barn was Tunbridge Wells hidden treasure. I hadn’t been there before, in fact I had never heard of it, but I will certainly be going there again. The Maidstone bus even stops outside! The lunch was delicious and the staff were most pleasant and efficient. I don’t know if today was the first time that Buzzlines have booked The Barn but if it was you should definitely put it on your list for future trips.Thank you

Not bad! I’ve been here twice during my holiday in Tunbridge. The reception has been very kind and we ate some good bread during our short waiting. The waitress gave su our fishes and hamburger and we enjoyed them. We were given the bill shortly after our requirement and prices were cheap. One of the best restaurant in Tunbridge Wells.

Best steak house in town. Excellent dining room separate from the bar so you can have a pint first before dinner. Go extravagant, steaks are fantastic and do a sharing moules mariniere to bulk up the ever hungry teenagers!
