Spa Valley Railway

What better way to explore the local area than by train. Why not take all the stress out of driving and sit back and enjoy the scenery passing you by? You always miss so much in the car so the train is the best way to see so much more of the world.

If you want to do something special we would recommend the Ale Trail Journey if you fancy something a little different. Saturday evenings and Thursday lunchtime are the times that this trip departs the station and you have the chance to jump on at Tunbridge Wells and then head over to Groombridge with a meal of cod and chips and an ice cream for dessert. On board you will find that the real ale is from local breweries so you will be able to taste what the locals like. Of course the experience doesn’t need to end there as there is a whole host of local pubs and restaurants in Tunbridge Wells that offer more real ales for you to sample.

The Spa Valley Railway go to great lengths to ensure that they are wheelchair friendly and the majority of their trains are equipped with ramps to help anyone with mobility problems. You might also be pleased to know that buggies, prams, bicycles and dogs are all welcome, and carried free of charge. So there is no need to leave the family pet behind.

This really is a great way for you to spend your time while you are here in Tunbridge Wells.

Don’t forget to visit their website to make sure that you get the correct departure times. http://www.spavalleyrailway.co.uk/visitor_information/Dining_Trains/
