Our WeddingWe got married at The Barn on 22nd May & what an outstandingly amazing day it was. Philippe, Janet, Andrew & the team did an amazing job organising & decorating the barn with the everything we gave them & it looked far better than we could’ve imagined. As I had made our wedding cakes I had specific ways of displaying them which the team did & the cakes stood proud 😊 . Janet & Philippe were patient, gracious & understanding with every single email I sent due to people with food allergies & intolerance’s & nothing was too much for them to accommodate including allowing late guests who could not attend the day to join us upstairs. The food was delicious & everyone was catered for exactly as they required. The staff were very attentive to keeping glasses topped up & service flowing throughout. When it came to the evening the buffet was ample & the cheese tower was great – we even got to keep all the left over cheese which we collected the next day when picking up our decorations.
We couldn’t have asked for anything more & from the very start Philippe & Janet arranged practically everything- including getting the ball rolling with the local registrars. We would highly recommend to anyone looking for a wedding venue to choose The Barn, if not for the beautifully decorated Orangery & restaurant upstairs, you also have the courtyard as the perfect breakout area to mingle with your guests.

There’s no words to describe the barn or their team. If you haven’t already booked a wedding with them, do it, and don’t think twice!Philippe and Janet are amazing, from our initial emails and queries, through to the booking and the meeting to discuss our options etc. We were presented with a lovely folder containing all of the information, and some sample menus – given plenty of choices to give to guests (allowed up to 4 of each for adults, and 2 of each for children – loads more flexibility than a lot of other venues) We dropped off our decorations the day before, and it’s lovely to see local businesses working together to support each other and the area (they supply discount codes for local hotels), and the Hotel were happy for us to leave a car in the car park overnight before.
When I arrived at the venue, the team had decorated it just how we wanted it, with all of our name places out, activity packs, favours etc. Nothing was too much trouble, we had vegetarians, coeliacs and allergies – all the food was impeccable. Every single person commented on how great their sea bass was, or how tender (and huge!) the rack of lamb was, it’s safe to say they catered for everyone (gluten free ice cream, gluten free bread rolls etc). Even catered for a vegetarian child at short notice ! Their house DJ (Luke Swift) did a great job too, keeping the music flowing and people up on their feet – a real crowd pleaser. The bar staff, were incredible – smiles all round, enjoying the day as much as we were – making it extra special. The sweet cart, patisserie selection and cheese tower looked great too (even supplied gluten free crackers for that too)!

Best Wedding EverHad my wedding ceremony at the barn and it was 10/10. From the first moment we met with the owner, months of planning to the last dance before we left it was perfect in every way.
The staff couldn’t do enough for us, they were truly amazing. The gentleman in charge of the day would come to me so my bride could relax and ask me if we’d like this or that etc. We got hit with some pretty hard snow fall, so taxi company’s started cancelling on guests, the manager for the evening started taking people back to there hotels himself.

We had our wedding here in November & ourselves & all of our guests had the best day. The staff were nothing short of amazing, so attentive & really couldn’t do enough for you. The food was brilliant, everyone said how they enjoyed every course & the evening buffet too! You got to choose out of a big list per course, so you could give your guests 4 options per course to choose from which is very very rare with wedding breakfasts! It really is such a beautiful & intimate venue with exceptional prices. They decorated it perfectly, exactly how we imagined. We dropped 5+ boxes off the night before & a description of how we’d like everything & the staff did it perfectly. Not one thing was wrong. We had outside suppliers for a couple of decor/sweet Cart items who failed to turn up, I found out as I was about to walk down the aisle so was upset and stressed. The Barn staff, especially Phillippe, sorted everything and to my surprise in the evening we had a stocked sweet table decorated downstairs for us & our guests, they really do go above & beyond for you. We have no complaints or reservations at all about this venue & would 100% recommend it to everyone. The ceremony room looked so pretty too, with the chairs covered & the pretty twig trees, we didn’t need any more decor in there than that, the orangery is such a pretty room on its own. As is the rest of the venue with gorgeous wooden beams, it can suit all sorts of wedding themes. Thank you to everyone at The Barn for making our special day, the best day ever!

Beautiful Venue for an Intimate WeddingMy Partner and I choose The Barn for our October Wedding. For. the get go Phillipe and Janet put us at ease and answered all of my many questions and emails.
The Barn has a Beautiful Conservatory for a intimate ceremony and a resturant upstairs with woddern beams and as a whole the building is bursting with character.
The packages offered were unbeatable and the option for our guests to be able to choose their own meals was great for us.
They supplied a list of local and trusted suppliers and organised everything along with my wedding decorator the morning of the big day.
On the big day the Phillipe and his team took care of absolutely everything and made the day completely stress free for us. The guests were all very relaxed and the staff was so attentive to them. The food was amazing and everyone (even the fussy eaters) gave us so many complements.

Excellent Wedding Venue
My Wife and I got Married on 17th July 2022 and we cannot recommend The Barn Pub & Restaurant highly enough.
We met Janet and Phillipe on a Sunday in 2019 to view the venue, it was already set up for a Wedding that day, you must visit, it gave us so many ideas we didn’t think of, instantly fell in love with the location and venue.
Janet is so kind and lovely, answered all our questions so promptly and guided us through each step along the way.
On the Wedding Day, the sun shone and the flowers at the main gate were so colourful and beautiful. In the Restaurant the decorations we left the day before were positioned exactly were we asked and noticed some other special touches too, it was very much appreciated.
All our family and friends expressed how delicious and hot the food was and truly a very romantic idylic venue.
One of our guests commented..I was sitting in the Orangery with a G&T and looked out into the Courtyard with all the twinkling lights on, pagoda with lovely foliage, colourful flower tubs, reminded me of being in the Mediterranean.

A Magical Wedding at The Barn.
Janet, Philippe and their team of staff created the most beautiful wedding for my new husband and I and 50 of our friends and family at The Barn. Every single part of the day went absolutely perfectly. Everything was better than we could ever imagine or hope for.
The ceremony in the Orangery with the open windows, our harpist playing, and with the perfect weather made it absolutely magical!
The professionalism of Philippe and his team was outstanding, with their attentiveness to every detail and need. Nothing was too much trouble. Philippe even ordered in my favourite drink – Vodka Caramel! All of our guests agreed the food was superb! Delicious, generous and piping hot! The buffet was delicious too. My only regret is that I didn’t eat enough as I was too busy dancing all night!
Our guests were also completely smitten with the charm of The Barn, with our closets friends enjoying pre wedding drinks with the Groom on the Saturday night. They agreed it was a truly wonderful place to have our wedding and we couldn’t agree more. We will be back to visit again, for our first anniversary and most definitely before!

A Wonderful Wedding Venue
Patrick and I had our wedding reception at the Barn on the 31st July 2022 and we could not have chosen a more perfect venue for our special day.
On viewing The Barn, we both instantly fell in love with this beautiful venue which is also in such a perfect location in the centre of Tunbridge Wells, so convenient for our guests, many of who would be staying in nearby hotels. Having a smaller wedding, we were also thrilled that we could have the exclusive use of the venue for the whole day which later proved to add to the relaxing atmosphere of the occasion.
Philippe was so friendly and helpful in guiding us with our choices which made everything so much easier and ensured all ran smoothly on the day.
Throughout the process, Janet was amazing too and always answered my questions promptly, nothing was too much trouble.
Like many couples who get married here, we had our photos taken in Calverley park, which is just across the road from the venue, again so convenient as we did not have to leave our guests for too long.
The food was delicious, and we had many compliments, it was also wonderful to be able to offer our guests individual menus from the various choices available, a feature I would not have previously thought was possible. The welcome canapes and the evening buffet were also very well received.
Luke Swift, the resident DJ, was great too and kept the dancers on their feet.
We are so pleased that we chose The Barn for our wedding and can not recommend this venue highly enough. We thoroughly enjoyed the day and all our guests had a fabulous time.

My husband and I had our wedding at The Barn in September 2021 and the venue was truly magical. We had the most memorable day; one we will never forget.
We instantly loved the venue when viewing photos online, and when we viewed the venue for the first time in February 2019 alongside Philippe, who was so welcoming, we booked the venue straight away without wanting to see any other venues.
Our wedding was originally scheduled to take place in April 2020, but due to COVID it was pushed back several times. Luckily, after waiting 18 months, we finally tied the knot in September 2021.
Janet was absolutely amazing throughout and was always there to answer our questions. It took us five attempts, but we got there in the end, and Janet could not have been more accommodating.
The Barn is such a beautiful venue and perfect for the 64 daytime guests we had. It was intimate, especially the ceremony, which is exactly what we wanted. Phillipe and the rest of the team decorated the venue so beautifully; it was honestly better that we could have ever imagined. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly and this made the day run smoothly. The food was amazing; from the canapes, to the sit-down meal and then the evening buffet. They also have so many wonderful additions that you can include in your package and we opted for the sweet cart, which everyone loved, and even made use of The Barn’s “Mr & Mrs” canvas and easel for our welcome sign.
The venue is in a fantastic location, with great transport links and a beautiful park across the road, which is where we had our gorgeous wedding photos taken.
The Barn provide a list of outstanding wedding suppliers, which was a great help when planning our wedding as we didn’t really know where to begin. We were fortunate enough to work with some of their recommended suppliers; Helen England as our photographer, Cut Above Productions as our videographer, Colonnade Florist and Luke Swift as our DJ. All are AMAZING and we would highly recommend each of their services.
We cannot recommend The Barn highly enough. It is the perfect wedding venue and all our guests adored the venue. Janet and Phillipe, from the bottom of our hearts, we cannot thank you enough! We will certainly be returning each year for food and drinks, and to reminiscence our special day.

We initially booked our wedding for 2020 but due to covid had to wait a whole extra year.
From the very first time we viewed the venue we were made to feel that nothing was too much trouble for Phillipe and his staff.
Janet was fantastic answering all my emails and questions and working throughout to rearrange dates.
It really is a venue that allows you to have your wedding however you want it We dropped all the decorations off the day before knowing Phillipe and his team would have everything just as I had planned. And they did!
The food was wonderful. So many of our guests commented on the quality of the food and the service.
We must make a special mention on one employee Andrew. He is the friendliest most accommodating person ever and we were so pleased he worked at our wedding.

We booked the Barn for our wedding in September and would thoroughly recommend this lovely venue. Phillippe, Janet and the team were fantastic in the run up to the day, and on the day itself they made sure everything ran smoothly.
The food was lovely, we were impressed with the range of options we were given. They also did a great job of setting the venue up the day before. Many of our guests commented on how impressed they were with how everything looked.

Wedding day delight
We held our wedding at the barn in August post lifting of COVID restrictions. The team could not have made our day more perfect everyone was warm & welcoming. The venue looked amazing and the team had put all our decorations up beautifully. The food and drink were superb. Phillipe is a fantastic host and as promised the day happened around us and ran smoothly.
If you are looking for a small and intimate venue with bags of character and service which is second to none don’t over look this place. We only viewed The Barn and knew the moment we walked in that it was the place to hold our special day.
It is really clear that every member of staff is committed to offering fantastic customer service whether that is waiting at tables or serving behind the bar. There were smooth transitions from ceremony to dinner to evening reception.
We were pleasantly surprised to receive some unopened bottles of wine the next morning which most venues would not do.

“Our Wedding Day”
Where do I start…… Me and my now husband fell n love with The Barn the moment we walked in and met Phillippe, It was the first venue we went and saw, and Phillippe even advised us to go look at other venues to see what they are like so we had something to compare to which was also good of them so we did and nothing came close to the Barn and the feel we got as soon as we stepped in so we booked it. I cannot praise Phillippe and Janet (His wife) enough, we finally had our magical day on 11th July 2021 after being postponed from last year, and the sun came out for us. Nothing was too much trouble for Phillippe, Milo and their amazing staff. They made us feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the day and evening even when things were running over time they just took it in their stride and with the restrictions that were in place. The food was spectacular and everyone is still talking about it infact, and the fact that my guests had a choice of 4 meals was also a plus point about the venue.
I cannot praise Janet enough, she was always there to answer my queries and help and sort things out for us. The barn even went above and beyond and went and got us a TV Licence so us and all out guests could watch the England game, and the atmosphere at the wedding was fantastic and we are so appreciative of this. Luke the DJ was also fantastic and played the music we wanted.
We could not have the buffet due to covid restrictions so we had the BBQ in the evening which was amazing too, the burgers and sausages and the extra Chip cones went down a treat with everyone and the mini pattisserie we offered our guests too. We had an amazing day and cannot praise and recommend the Barn enough. Thank you for making our day special and memorable just what we wanted.

We celebrated our wedding at The Barn on 25th July and the only thing that let us down a little was the weather, but Janet, Philippe and the whole team were so amazing, we really didn’t care.
They decorated the venue for us and it looked so beautiful. All the staff were so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing and how they managed to serve us all so quickly was incredible! Our dream wedding
The Barn was an absolutely amazing place to get married, if we could we would give it 10 stars! The day went beautifully as the staff guided us though the entire day, always being super friendly and making sure that there was nothing that we needed. The food was to die for as well, our guests were amazed at the options for our wedding breakfast. My wife and I were worried about how the wedding would be due to Covid and restrictions, so we were nervous on the day, but honestly we even forgot that there was a pandemic, they truly gave us the wedding of our dreams. We wouldn’t do anything at all to change our special day apart from replaying it all over again!

We had our wedding at The Barn last week. We couldn’t recommend the venue enough! It is a family run venue and you can really tell by the caring small touches. Philippe and Janet have been so friendly and helpful, always answering any questions we had. We wanted an intimate wedding with family and friends and the venue was perfect. The whole process from start to finish was very smooth and stress-free. The wedding day itself was amazing and we enjoyed it so much. Our friends and family have also said how much they enjoyed the day. All the staff on the day were helpful, friendly and polite. We couldn’t recommend the venue enough and will definitely be going back to the restaurant. Thank you for making our day so special and memorable!

Amazing Wedding Day
The best venue by far, for the outstanding service we received from Philippe and Janet for our wedding last week. Being the first wedding with the new guidelines on numbers we couldn’t have asked for more with everything covered.
The food was cooked to perfection, being served by very attentive staff and all piping hot. All our guests commented on how impressed they were with the venue, food and service they all received. Philippe and his team had decorated the place so beautifully with our decorations, I can’t thank them enough. I just wish we lived nearer as we would visit here regularly!

We had our wedding here with a limit of 30
Due to covid rules on 30th May 2021 and it was the most amazing day! Food was fabulous service was amazing all the staff couldn’t have been more on point! I left my decorations with Phillipe the day before and he used them and made the whole of The Barn look stunning. Janet was brilliant with every message I had over any minor thing and was so supportive due to it being our third wedding date. Thank you all so much!

Me and my finance are getting married at The Barn next year. Today we visited to try some lunch at the venue. We both ordered burgers and both were absolutely delicious with big portions and freshly- made high-quality produce. The service was very good and staff were friendly. We had a long chat with Phillipe (Manager) about our wedding and we planned our menu and our special day. Phillipe was very helpful and down to earth. He is genuinely passionate about providing the highest level of service in this beautiful venue and used his wealth of experience to give us advice. I would thoroughly recommend anybody to visit The Barn for food or just a drink. The garden feels like an oasis away from the bustle of Tunbridge Wells and you can truly relax there. 5 stars all round……exceptional place.

Our wedding meal. The Barn did such a fantastic job with our wedding meal! The food was amazing and the service excellent. Phillipe and his staff put 100% into everything they do ensuring everything is perfect. Our wedding guests were so impressed with their meal and everyone commented on how friendly the staff were. Perfect wedding day! Philippe and Janet were fantastic right from initial enquiries, viewing the venue to planning our wedding (on such a short timescale!) They were always on hand to answer any queries and put our minds at rest. It was a very stress free experience. The venue was perfect for us and was made even more so with the setting out of our decorations which was done beautifully. Staff where all attentive and friendly and the food was delicious. Not to mention all the little touches they and their staff provided that made it that little bit more personal from helping unload the car when dropping off the day before, moving centre pieces from upstairs to downstairs after the meal, giving us left over bottles of wine to take away to reloading the car when we came to pick it all up! The day was perfect, we want to do it all again and we would 100% recommend it to anyone looking for a more personal venue! Huge thanks again.

Good Evening Janet, We have only just managed to take a moment to reflect on our day, as it passed by so quickly, and we wanted to send over a message of thanks.Chris and myself could not thank you enough, from the very beginning when we were looking to view The Barn right up until the day after you were all so wonderful. You made our day possible, you have been so very helpful with all of our enquiries, millions of questions and plans for the day as was Phillipe during our meetings prior to the big day! Philippe and his team truly made the whole of The Barn look spectacular, making my vision of ‘the perfect venue’ into a reality, it actually exceeded all expectations (apologies to them for having to unpack boxes and boxes of decor) and our guests were blown away with how beautiful the ceremony and reception rooms looked. Now for the food… what can I say?! To start, our guests were astounded at the ability to choose their own food prior to the day and then even more so when we mentioned that we had such a wide and varied choice to narrow it down from. When the food came out everyone was pleased with their choices, all of the food looked delicious and it came out hot and perfectly cooked. Many guests mentioned how they enjoyed the fact they received a ‘proper meal’ unlike most weddings that they had been to before (and we were extremely grateful for our surprise ‘three for me’ puddings too, our favourite!) Although we were too busy dancing to eat much buffet food in the evening the spread looked wonderful and it was great to have been saved a plate by the kitchen to take home at the end of the night, what a lovey touch! We would like to thank Philippe and all of the staff at The Barn for their service on the day, they really did go the extra mile to ensure it all ran smoothly and that we had the perfect day. Phillipe was so organised and helpful throughout and we even got chaperoned to Calverley park by Paul, armed with umbrellas, and showing us all of the best spots for photos. It truly was the most wonderful day, made even more so by friendly, funny and extremely helpful members of the team. Our parents and grandparents have all said how The Barn did us extremely proud, the highest of compliments, and we couldn’t have wished for a better day. Our wedding. We had our wedding at The Barn on 25.8.19 and it was a fantastic day! Philippe, Janet and the whole team went above and beyond to give us our perfect day in 31°c temperatures. So many of our guests have complimented us on the food and the relaxed nature of the venue. The wedding breakfast was amazing and the wine was gorgeous and flowing very generously. Everyone LOVED the evening BBQ, we’ve heard some guests had 4 burgers as they were just so tasty. It was set up beautifully with our decorations and flowers and the garden looked beautiful as always. Nothing was too much trouble for them (including building our cake stand and setting up a doughnut tower with 2 tier cake on top!) and it was so reassuring throughout the whole process knowing that Janet would answer any query almost immediately. Luke Swift the resident DJ was also brilliant, even doing a kid’s disco and dance competition and doing an amazing job of our requested UK Garage hour. We are so pleased we chose to hold our wedding at The Barn and would recommend it to any couple considering it for their wedding, especially as their offering is the most amazing value for money too. They even gave us a box with all the leftover wine from our wedding breakfast, so I got over the post wedding comedown by remaining pleasantly sozzled for a fortnight 🙂

Your attention to detail was amazing and very reassuring in the weeks and days leading up to the wedding. The Barn looked beautiful on the day and our guests were taken care of from the moment they arrived until the last person left. The food was very good and people appreciated that they had a choice of menu options. When I arrived and I went upstairs to talk to the Registrars, the noise from the bar below was incredible. Dear Philippe and Jan, Graeme and I would like to say such a huge thank you for hosting our wedding! We couldn’t have asked for more that day, the Barn is such a cosy place and the gardens are beautiful. It was decorated just how I had asked and every single person who attended has said it was such a perfect day! A lot of this praise must go to you and Jan for always being at the end of email queries, for helping us to organise the wedding breakfast menus and Philippe, for being present throughout the whole day, which was very reassuring Everyone also said how nice the food was, the rack of lamb was very impressive! The wine flowed, the non-drinkers catered for well and the upstairs restaurant was laid out so thoughtfully it was just such a lovely place to be. It was important to me, to replace the large rose print too – so thank you so much for helping us to put something else in place. The other staff were very organised when we arrived with things the day before and throughout our day too. Philippe – the flowers looked beautiful in jars and we thank you for this initial idea, as we didn’t really know where to start with doing our own flowers. Wedding September 2019. We got married at The Barn yesterday and we cannot thank Phillipe, Janet and their team enough for such an amazing day! The entire day ran so smoothly without any hitches. The food was fantastic and all of our guests commented on how lovely it was. Our cheese tower was amazing! We were also given the remainder of the bottles of wine and Port that were left over to take home. A perfect venue for a personal intimate wedding and all our guests loved it. Luke the DJ was brilliant too! Had everyone on the dance floor literally all night! Some aching legs today! Cannot thank you enough for a wonderful perfect wedding day!

Well what can I say about The Barn – So, so much! They well and truly deserve to be Boutique wedding Venue winners. Absolutely amazing venue & staff. We renewed our vows here Sunday and boy did they deliver. From the beginning they have been there every step of the way. Thanks to Jan for answering my many emails and sorting last minute changes. Phillipe you are one of the loveliest men ever you listened to everything I asked and put them into place making sure it was just perfect, it was even better than I imagined it could be, so huge Thanks to you! Compliments to the chef & kitchen team the food was outstanding and we had many guests saying it was the best Wedding food they’d ever had. The bar staff were amazing keeping everyone well ‘lubricated’ with not a queue in sight well done guys no mean feat with us lot!:) Everything went beautifully & it really was the Best day Ever!! Our special day 28/07/2019. I cannot praise the staff at the Barn highly enough. From our first visit to this venue, we knew it was the place we wanted to get married. Contact with Janet and Philippe throughout the year leading up to the day and on the day itself was excellent. They took care of everyone attending, going far and beyond expectations. The food, service, attention to detail, commitment and value for money were incredible and we had many comments from guests to back this up. I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at The Barn, we got married here on 9th June 2019. Our day was just perfect, exactly what we had dreamed of and more, we wanted the relaxed feel and honestly our guests said that’s exactly how they all felt! We went off to the park opposite to have some traditional photos taken – this had over run, so we were around an hour late to sit down for dinner, however this didn’t seem to be a problem for the barn – so we just headed upstairs a hour later! The food was amazing, During the meal they kept on top of the table wine, ensuring there were bottles on the table at all times! Everyone commented on how generous they were with the wine! Janet – the lovely lady behind the emails! Thank you so much for answering my 1000s of questions and making me feel like nothing was too much! The staff – the staff are brilliant, they were just in the background tidying and keeping the day flow amazingly, but never intrusive. There was never a wait at the bar – and we had over 100 guests in the evening! Philippe – throughout the planning process he was amazing, he helped with everything and when I dropped off my many boxes of decorations, with 100 things to tell him he just listened and decorated the venue exactly how I had imagined it. A week on from the excitement of last weekend, we wanted to write to you all to say a huge thank you for all your efforts leading up to and on the day of our wedding last weekend. I knew I would be writing this message from the moment we booked our wedding with you; partly because of the reviews we had already read before coming to visit you for the first time, partly because of all of the beautiful photos we’d seen on social media sites, but mainly because of the relaxed, welcoming and professional atmosphere at The Barn. What an amazing place for us to have our wedding, Janet and Philippe were the perfect hosts, the venue was beautiful and there was nothing too much trouble to accommodate. Ours was a little different as our guests thought they were coming to an Engagement party and we surprised them by announcing the wedding 20 minutes before the ceremony – needless to say, the arrangements were complicated by our unusual event, but Philippe and Janet and their team entered into the spirit of the whole event and were brilliant. Janet and Philippe were so warm and welcoming and spoke so highly of their tight nit team, it had a real sense of family around it. The world’s best wedding venue! So I’m not even sure where to begin leaving this review. From start to finish Philippe, Janet and all the team were absolutely incredible. They couldn’t have been more accommodating to us and our somewhat out there ideas! Nothing was too big or too small; from singing waiters, fave painters and crisp sandwich buffets. They handled the day amazing, all the intricate details. We didn’t have to worry about a thing; which was perfect with being 4 months pregnant and being sick. The food was perfect, the staff on the day perfect, just all round PERFECT. I could so get married all over again just to have it at The Barn! So from us, the biggest and best thank you! Fantastic venue, had a great day for our wedding on 8th July, everybody was exceptional from when we booked right through after the day and even helped us load up our bits that we collected after the wedding, everyone commented how great the food was too. Can not recommend the place enough.

Wedding 10th June 2018. I attended a magical wedding here last week. The venue looked absolutely stunning, the food delicious and plentiful, a well stocked bar and great space for dancing with an amazing DJ. The pretty garden was well used especially on arrival and for the evening bbq. The Barn was clean and smelt fresh. However what really shines through is the staff. They really make you feel like everybody matters. They work effortlessly together with such ease and enthusiasm, it makes this place rather special. I shall look forward to returning here

EXCEPTIONAL WEDDING VENUE. We got married at the local registry office, walked through the park and had our sit down meal & wedding reception at The Barn on 20th May 2018. Janet from day 1 was the most helpful, informative and efficient person I’ve ever emailed and spoken to. She responded so quickly to every single detail of the many emails I sent her in the months before the wedding. Nothing was too much for her and she never once made me feel like a pest (I emailed a lot!)… and Philippe, well where do we start! He is the nicest, most passionate, honest and enthusiastic man we’ve ever met! He goes above and beyond for his wedding guests. When we dropped our wedding decorations off the day before we ran through very briefly how we wanted things (we were more laid back than you can imagine!) and he took in every detail of what we said and made it 1000x better!! We couldn’t actually believe our eyes, that our “lazy planning” was made into something so spectacularly beautiful by Philippe!! The entire team at The Barn ensured us and our guests were looked after all day and night! Always smiling and happy. DJ Luke Swift also did a smashing job with all my music requests (very fussy bride when it came to the playlist!). The food was amazing with very generous portions! As a venue, The Barn is the most honest business we have come across. There are NO hidden charges, it’s all set out for you easily, they actively encourage what they think will suit you best and not in the direction of higher prices but actually to save you money if they think they can! This is what we think sets The Barn above any other wedding venue, you really don’t feel like you are being tricked into spending more money. Post wedding we even got back absolutely everything! Including left over wine from our meal and cheese from our cheese tower!! We couldn’t believe that! Thank you is not enough for them as a team! We couldn’t have been happier! You made our day exceptional, so much more perfect than we could ever have hoped for. We thought when married couples described their wedding day as perfect, it is just a figure of speech, but our day actually was perfect, thanks to The Barn. To Janet, Philippe and The Team…….. I really don’t know where to start, nothing i write will do The Barn as much justice as you deserve. We had the most Amazing, relaxed Wedding, it was more then we had ever expected. It was truly magical and a day we will never forget. The Barn is a Hidden Gem, that I found some time ago whilst working in Tunbridge Wells and my heart was set on getting Married there from day one. Being a very nervous bride from Day one, Janet and Philippe have been full of reassurance and much needed advice, I really don’t know why I was worrying so much. Communication has been fantastic. The staff also went above and beyond on the day, they were fantastic with the children and all the guests have said how friendly and welcoming they were. The food was outstanding, delicious and cooked to perfection. The portion size was also very generous. The wine chosen also complemented the food. The resident DJ Luke had everyone up dancing, which was a hard job due to the weather being so good, most people were outside. He also helped us with a few surprises we had planned. Nothing was too much for him. In the last few days I have bumped into a few of our guest and they have had nothing but praise ” Wow, what a beautiful venue, we didn’t know it existed. It was one of the most relaxed weddings we have ever been to and the best. We loved that during the ceremony we had a choice to sit outside but still see/ hear what was going on. It was the most perfect day. We are already talking about going back there for a meal soon. Thank you for letting us be part of your special day “. So I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for making our day so special, taking the stress away from me , making us all feel so welcome, decorating The Barn to such a high standard, wonderful food, a relaxed atmosphere and having such a wonderful team who I’m actually missing being around. The best wedding we could have dreamt of. Wow… where to begin?! We got married at The Barn on 25th March 2018. I suppose we were a bit unusual as we didn’t look at any other venues other than The Barn when we got engaged. It has been my local pub for 6 years now, and when I introduced Nick to the Barn he also fell in love with it. We knew it would be the perfect place for us to get married when the day came. Nick was so keen to book that he proposed to me early just so he could get a date booked asap! Philippe and Janet were on hand to answer our many questions and where so fantastic at helping us to plan everything out in the coming months. They made everything so simple. The day itself was incredible… We could not have asked for anything more… Our decorations looked spectacular, Philippe did an amazing job laying out everything… It looked better than we could have imagined… It was magical! The venue really shines out in every one of our photos. The service in the conservatory was so intimate and beautiful. Everyone said it was a wonderful ceremony and we feel a lot of that was due to the intimacy of the venue as well as the amazing job of the registrars! The staff behind the bar and in the kitchen were brilliant. We had so many compliments on the service and the food. Everyone meals came out hot and as ordered… And the food is always tasty at The Barn… So much so that my mum always insists we go to the barn for lunch when she visits. The day ran so smoothly. We both spent the entire day with massive grins on our faces and most of that was because we could relax entirely, knowing that everything was in hand! Perfect Wedding Venue!!! I have been trying for the past 3 weeks to write a review that does the Barn justice. I’m not sure that any words can quite describe just how perfect our wedding day was. The Barn was the 1st place James and I looked at before he even proposed and it is always a worry that a place will not live up to expectations. This couldn’t be further from the case for The Barn! Philippe and Janet made us feel so welcome from the moment we enquired about the venue right through to the day itself and within moments of seeing the venue there was not a single doubt in our mind that this was the place for us. They were more than happy to book us in 3 days before Christmas and being such a stressful time of year under normal circumstances it was such a relief to be at a venue where there was such professionalism as well as a real care for us and making us feel like the only couple that had ever got married there. I remember the weekend of the wedding handing all of the bits for tables and decorating and wedding favours to Philippe as well as sweets for our retro sweet table and trying to go into great detail about where things needed to go and what needed to be done and he very calmly said ‘OK I’ve got it, see you on Sunday’. With the absolute professionalism that we were shown from the minute we booked our wedding I arrived on the day and everything was set up perfectly to the last little detail. From the ceremony, the beautiful Christmas decorations and hundreds of fairy lights to the the winter themed drinks and amazing food the day could not have gone any better and the small details (that not even I had thought of!) were a lovely surprise for me! The children were treated to a little glass of sweets to toast the bride and groom with which was such a lovely touch! My family and friends have not stopped saying what a fantastic day it was and such a massive part of this is down to Philippe, Janet and all of the staff at The Barn. We cannot thank them enough for making our day every bit of the dream wedding we could only have hoped it would be! To everyone who has asked how good our wedding was our reply is ‘You know it’s been an absolutely brilliant wedding when at the end the bride is on the floor doing air guitar’!! David and I would really like to say how very appreciative we are for all you did to make Rachel and Pradeep’s celebrations so special. We can’t believe how fortunate we were to find The Barn. We knew straight away on our first visit when we met Philippe that this was the perfect place and that Rachel and Pradeep would instantly love it too. (Up to this point we were a little apprehensive about the responsibility of choosing a wedding venue that they wouldn’t see until two weeks before the ceremony.) From then on you took all the responsibility off our shoulders while keeping in close touch with both ourselves and Rachel and Pradeep, offering options and suggestions that helped them to make informed choices and decisions and personalise their day. We couldn’t possibly have wished for such thoughtful, accommodating and supportive service.The day lived up to, and in fact exceeded, expectations. Every area looked wonderful; a warm conservatory ready for the ceremony with sparkling white chair covers and colour co-ordinated bows, comfortable and inviting bar to welcome guests and the most characterful, beautifully presented wedding breakfast room with crisp linen, immaculate tableware and all the flowers, table decorations and individual menus set out. Philippe, thank you too for all the magical fairy lights and decorations that you put up which so added to the whole ambiance. (We have some great photos showing just how lovely everything looked If you would like us to send any over.) The ceremony was special and the celebrant you recommended was perfect. It was so thoughtful of you to suggest and help set up a skype link so that Pradeep’s family in India could share this time with us. All the food was absolutely delicious – lots of guests commented that it was the best wedding meal they had ever had – and the service was excellent. The kitchen team did a fantastic job at producing such a choice of dishes and juggling timings to allow us flexibility. And while we were relaxing over a scrummy meal, downstairs was rapidly but discreetly being converted for the evening’s entertainment! The disco you organised was great as was the evening buffet and the bar staff were exceptionally friendly and efficient. Everyone had a really fun time; lots of dancing, drinking and catching up. The day whizzed very enjoyably and at the end of the evening all our stuff had been carefully packed awaiting collection the next morning. Please thank all your staff for us – they were amazing! Most of all though, thank you both for all your help and thoughtfulness in ensuring Rachel and Pradeep had such a wonderful time celebrating their marriage with all their closest friends and family. It was special for all of us but I think most importantly, to quote our daughter, “It was the best day of my life!” With much gratitude

Absolutely OUTSTANDING Wedding Venue!! Thank you so much Philippe, Janet and all your most wonderful happy smiley staff on our Wedding day on 14th Jan 2018. We and all our guests had the most truly amazing day and every single one of our wedding photos we have just had back shows every one smiling in every single photo – a true testament to how much everyone enjoyed the day! We have since received so many wonderful comments and texts saying what a wonderful day everyone had and raving about the beautiful food and portion sizes – food came out on time to all our guests and was hot/perfection! We had given Philippe our chosen decorations the night before and we were both absolutely blown away at how gorgeous the entire barn looked for the day and, once again, had so many wonderful comments from guests saying what a perfect/romantic and intimate wedding venue it was. Wedding venue. Where do I start our wedding was amazing nothing too much trouble we had to change things a fair bit and Janet was amazing and helped us all the way!! The process from start to finish was great made our lives so easy! The Barn was the perfect place to have our wedding venue. All our guests loved the layout of the venue. I thought the layout was perfect for how many people we had, we had 68 people for the day and an extra 15/20 for the evening. I loved that it felt close and intimate. Philippe and Janet are amazing at what they do! They make everything so easy for you, the communication is fantastic they are always quick to email back but also to email you before different parts of the organising so you are always ahead. Best Wedding venue in Kent! We got married at The Barn and our experience in planning, setup and on the day couldn’t have gone better. The owners, Philippe and his wife, run the place with utmost care and affection. They helped us through the planning process and were essential to the success of our big day. Thank you!!!! The Barn is such a great place because of the way they use the space, it feels comfortable, charming and practical. As the day turns into night, and the garden lights up, it’s a really beautiful place to spend a day. Food was wonderful, served hot and freshly made! Drinks were high quality, and super impressed by the delicious ale choices. Additionally all their staff were brilliant and really went above and beyond the call of duty! Like the barman who put the bubble machine on the roof so bubbles would be in the group photos! But especially Lauren who helped with the setup and running on the day. Wedding Thank You. I’m finding it really difficult to write this email because there are no words to express how happy we are that we picked you as our Wedding venue. I actually started researching venues before we were officially engaged (that makes me sound like a bit bridezilla but the ring had been made, so I knew a proposal was coming soon!) and when I came across The Barn, I just has this feeling that it was The One. After reading numerous excellent reviews online (and finally getting engaged!), we arranged a viewing straight away…and I fell in love instantly! The Barn was exactly what we wanted – intimate, pretty and relaxed. The fact that the price is amazing was just an added bonus! Everything, from our very first enquiry to the Wedding day, was so easy. You were always on hand to answer my questions (however stupid they were!) and I was so grateful and totally trusted your help and tips! I had a few ideas of of how I wanted to decorate the venue but I’m not very visual, so I wasn’t sure exactly how I wanted it all laid out. I was blown away when I arrived at the venue on our Wedding Day – it looked beautiful!! I was over the moon. The food was gorgeous – all of our guests commented on how lovely it was and I was so pleased everyone could chose their own meal. You also catered for my vegan and celiac guests with no drama! Philippe being there throughout the day made me feel really calm and at easy, I knew I was in safe hands!! Peter and Pauline wedding day 9th July 2017. From the moment Pete and I walked into The Barn we knew that this was the venue for our wedding and it far exceeded our expectations. We loved that is was so beautiful, quaint and romantic and fell in love with it. Russell and I got married at The Barn on the 23rd July this year (2017), and we were both so overwhelmed at how wonderful the day was and how smoothly everything went. This lovely little personal and intimate venue have their wedding organisation down to a tea! We didn’t look at any other venues than this one as we knew we wanted small, intimate and personal for our special day, and having had a search on the internet we found this little gem! We went for a lovely little meal here one night to see what it was like and we immediately knew this was our special place, and right from when we booked our wedding a year and a half in advance, both Philippe and Janet were just so helpful and welcoming and made the whole organising process of the wedding so relaxed and easy. Janet was so helpful with all of the administration bits and bobs and I feel I must have asked some silly questions at points leading up to the wedding, but Janet was only too happy to help and answer all my queries. And Philippe and all his staff leading up to, and on the day were little stars! We dropped off a box of decorations the evening before the wedding and Philippe took them and made them look even better than we’d imagined within the setting! You can tell that he is passionate about making sure that his guests wedding days are as perfect as they imagine them to be, and making sure everything goes as perfectly as it can. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful this little venue is, and how the service and food were fab too! Everyone enjoyed their 3 course meals and the evening Buffett too! My mum has a lactose intolerance and they catered for her needs very well and she really enjoyed her food. This is such a lovely little place that Russ and I will hold in our hearts forever and that we will continue to visit for a lovely meal from time to time, now with the added wonderful memories from our day. We would just like to take this opportunity to thank Philippe and Janet, and all of their team at The Barn from the bottom of our hearts for all that they did for us on the 23rd July!
